Wilderness Medicine Adventure Course

Patagonia Course - February 19th-28th, 2010

Adrenaline-Charged CME!

Our wilderness medicine course instructors and guides immerse its participants in an exciting wilderness medicine curriculum that explores the unique and pristine environment of Patagonia and the Futaleufu valley. We help you develop wilderness medicial solutions that are practical, effective and improvisational. During this time, you earn numerous Continuing Medical Education(CME) and Fellow of Academy of Wilderness Medicine(FAWM) credits while playing in Class V whitewater and trekking the mountains and canyons of Patagonia, Chile.

The course vision is to create a wilderness medicine course that empowers its participants with the skills necessary to provide state-of-the-art medical care and leadership in the remote, wilderness adventure setting.

Each day will be filled with intense whitewater rafting and trekking intertwined with wilderness medical lectures, peer-driven discussions and hands-on medical scenarios. We designed this course to educate all who are passionate about the wilderness and want to immerse themselves in wilderness medicine while exploring the wonders of Patagonia.
